I was reading an article in the Reading evening post, and there was an article about teams over acheiving, the top ten over acheivers, as conducted by an indipendent football poll, since the formation of the premier league are.

1. Doncaster
2. Portsmouth
3. Reading
4. Hull
5. Wigan
6. Cheltenham
7. Aldershot
8. Carlisle
9. Scunthorpe
10. Accrington Stanley

and incase anyone cares the biggest under acheivers are....

82. MK Dons
83. Shrewsbury
84. Brentford
85. Leicester
86. Luton
87. Notts County
88. Man City
89. Coventry
90. Nott'm Forest
91. Woves
92. Sheff Wed

So, are we setting our standards to high looking for automatic promotion, should we be content with our League One status, or is the Championship our rightful place?

We are setting our sights high.
The best we can really hope for is to be a yoyo team between this division and the championship.

One good thing about being a yo-yo team is we won't have to visit the same 15-20 grounds every year.
I think that the club are being very thoughtful to the supporters by winning one year and losing the next, giving us the chance to visit different grounds each year!!
Imagine the boredom of supporting "the big four" and going to the same away games nearly every year? Never a dull day following Scunny.

True and not true i suppose, personally i would like to see us stable (in the championship obviously) then yo-yo club, yeah you might have more excitment being a yo-yo club, but at the end of the day you will always be dissapointed as you are relagated.

I never said I want us to be a yoyo club just that I think it's the best we can achieve.
If we have a few seasons in the championship then great but realistically we're more than likely to struggle in all of those season. Do you want to see us struggling every season?

This is the reason why Adkins should stop. He is popular here and to the Huddersfield fans he is just another manager.

I agree. Thats why I think he'll stay. He talks about 'our football club' and he has been here for a long long time so surely that means he's got some committment to us. Plus we've shown faith in him by giving him a chance to manage so perhaps he'll show faith in us now.

Cant see him wanting to jump ship at the first opportunity to come his way unless it was a more attractive option than Huddersfield (no offense to them!).
