Oofph, I couldn't believe it when the boys at the Ashby table tennis club (youths) mentioned it to me, but I realised the importance while I was trying to tell them about the importance of a fully ribbed bat. I could tell they weren't realy concentrating . They didn't listen to me, Mr. Adkins, they were very worried about impending managerial movements. And I thought about this, as I was re-grouting the shower cubicle because I don't want any mould to grow, y'know and it just wouldn't make any sense for you to go would it, apart from the higher salary. of course. Don't get me wrong though, I can see the attraction. You may be nearer the Merridown centre and the Peak District, where you could take your team for morale building purposes. . But, Lad, Don't forget that dream of entering the Wembley Stadium though! I mean, you're not going to get that with any other team this season are you, Lad? I think you are well liked by the local community and have done very well with yourself, for a Healthcare Professional. Come on Lad, stay with the Iron, and don't forget about the Garden Centre near the ground, it never fails to provide bargains... |

I hpe you dug out some of that old grout before re-grouting else the mould will surely grow back. As for Mr Adkins? I think you will find it hard to find many that truly want him to leave. OK there are a few dim whits who wear blinkers and take each game personally who keep on slating him, but I think it would be a sad day fro the club to see him go right now. He has built a league topping team with a very real chance of returning to the Championship, he is well on the way to a Wembly appearance in the paint tin trophy, and we are still in the FA cup unlike 'the other team'. What more could he and the true supporters want. The board would do very well to keep Mr Adkins here at ALL COSTS. OK when we are back in the Championship he will get much better offers than Huddersfield. Good luck to him! |
