Group: Member Posts: Joined: Sun Jan 20 2008 Status: Offline | Is a bit dead isn't it? The last post was June the 12th. Scunthorpe had a fantastic season last time out and the time before. They have got quality riders this year as well. They will stay up comfortably in the premier league. I shall be making the effort to come and see them as ever. It's actually worth paying for unlike the football team at the moment. That's not the football squad's fault oh no just ask Mr Steve Wharton. Rob Godfrey is doing a great job for this town with the speedway. He has ambition and this has seen us get to the one of the best leagues. Wharton could have done the same with the football club, if he did put his mind towards it. Instead he chose to spend very little money and make most of the Scunthorpe United fans suffer this season. Unfortunetly for the football club, it's going to go downhill, as a lot of Scunthorpe United fans seem to be happy with the "one season wounderers" attitude. Thank goodness that the speedway team have shown ambition. Come on Scorpians put Scunthorpe on the map. That's something the football team can never do now, thanks to the tight fisted bloke called Wharton. |
