Still, at least all is well in the Iron's world at the moment. Will it be the same after tomorrow though? Jamie - I wouldn't be surprised if it;s a 0-0 tomorrow. I know it's a cliche, but I doubt there'll be very little in it. Those top-of-the-table clashes can sometimes turn out to be a bit of an anti-climax. I hope not though. Scunny's defence has been immense recently so I can't see Millwall getting past them too easily. Izzy may be back fit, but I think he may struggle to get a place in the team just now. Mirfin and Pearce are on top form. What do you think? |

Well the attendances certainly aren't making any waves are they? I do find it difficult to understand why that is the case when United are playing attractive football, sit top of the league and have a team of quality players. Reading a few posts recently, I see there has actually been some promotions to encourage fans. Only problem is, I hadn't actually heard of them! That kind of defeats the point really doesn't it. Maybe they should try Bolton's trick and give away free beer. It's all very well for the club to issue a call to arms but sometimes it seems like just empty words from them. They can't really complain about poor gate numbers if they;re not doing more than their fair share to help them. Free tickets to school kids might be a good idea, like they did in the Olympics. Get people drawn in so they want to come back. I spoke to Grant McCann this week and he actually said that it is 'disheartening' when the players walk out and see a half-empty stadium. Thankfully it doesn't seem to have affected results on the pitch. |

I heard Ben May got a dead leg, but how are we suppose to know the difference!? Haha! Not a Ben May fan then?! I personally don't think he's good enough for a place in the starting XI, but he serves a purpose when he comes off the bench - even if it is just to hold the ball up in the last few minutes. I'd like to see Adkins bring in another striker in the January window. I don't think Forte and May are adequate cover should the unthinkable happen and either Hooper or Hayes gets injured. Any ideas who you'd like to see brought in? I think Izzy's experience means he would be invaluable in big games. Krystian Pearce has shown good form, but sometimes he seems a little shaky. |

Midfield is fine, probably our strongest area if i am honest. Sparrow, Morris and Woolford play great in midfeild and Togwell is good in defensive midfield (if that is what you would class it as) Defense is okay, not totally convinved by Mirfin yet, Williams is inconsistent but he usually puts in a decent shift, Byrne is playing good as always and Izzy likewise. Murphy obviously picks himself as do the strikers |

I get the impression that the talent and potential are there but he doesn't always manage to show it. |

About the gate problem, there isnt that much that can be done, yeah they can have all the offers going, but at the end of the day Humber is probably the poorest area of England. Won't be able to reply to the next one, hope somone else comes online! |

I don't think it will be 0-0 due to the fact that Millwall will give us a cracking game. They will be here to attack us and we will obviously be out for the win. I am going for Hooper and Hayes to score for us tomorrow. Up the iron!!!!!!!!!!!! |

Thankfully it doesn't seem to have affected results on the pitch. The club don't do enough to promote and attract new fans. The joke that games are now all ticket in the seating areas do put people off going. The crowd figures this season show that. The club really need to think of the fans who are expressing their concerns about that situation. The stewarding at Glanford Park has become a joke. The new safety officer is doing a bad job. The away fans seem to stand up and sing for their team which is totally fine obviously. However as soon as the home fans start standing and singing in the same manner in the seating areas, people get thrown out for nothing. What the club need to do is promote the club a lot more, allow the GW Corner back to the supporters who went in there to sing and cheer. The team are clearly dissapointed with the atmosphere at home games. I am also in that category. I like to sing and support the team when I am at a game. The club should also get rid of this pathetic all ticket system, unless they really need to use it for big games. The club should allow for people to pay on the turnstiles like it used to be. They need to get rid of allocated seating because people are now not guranteed to sit with their family or friends. The club should get these things sorted asap. |
