I believe Mr. Wharton quoted several years ago that a lift was to be installed. Surely there can be no excuse whatsoever for this not being carried out, particularly when you consider that the Study United facilities are still relatively new. Thanks. |

Afternoon Big_Dogg, thanks for the message. As you posted this one in plenty of time, I contacted the club for a response to your question. A statement read as follows..... We are currently looking at extending the Executive Lounge and adding additional toilet facilities at that end of the Telegraph Stand. Included in the plans is a lift located in the reception area (close to the main entrance) of the Telegraph Stand. The two schemes will need to be done in conjunction with each other as the creation of a lift shaft and a new corridor linking the lift to the main corridor on the 1st floor would reduce the current toilet facilities. I've asked for a timescale, but am yet to hear anything. Will update this thread when I do |

On the Crosby front, I don't think anyone could question the qualities Crozzer has brought to the club in his four year stint at Scunthorpe. He was exactly the sort of signing the Iron needed after that dreadful season when they nearly dropped out of the league and it's no surprise that he's been a fixture in the back four since. Despite what anyone says about sentiment in football, he deserved a crack in the Championship, but he was always going to struggle against the quicker players, as was the case. Andy Butler and Izzy Iriekpen certainly looked a dcent partnership when Crosby was injured towards the back end of last season and how much he would have played had Izzy not been crocked for a long while only Nigel Adkins knows. As to getting back in the team, I think Krystian Pearce, Izzy Iriekpen and David Mirfin have all proved their ability this season and I'm sure Crozzer would acknowledge that. I'm sure he's got a part to play in the side, but that's only a bit part role now. For me, Izzy and Pearce has to be the way forward and if Brum allow it, I'd try and keep Pearce until the end of the season. |

Good article in the Telegraph the other night embracing what seems to be a powerful force among the Iron fraternity. Anything that brings Iron fans together in celebration of all things claret and blue can only be a good thing can't it? |

It was something Adkins confirmed, but whether it's still in the offing I don't know. Think it was a midfielder, one who was married to an English woman wasn't it? We never had it confirmed who it was, but I think it was narrowed down to a couple of players. Will see if I can dig anything out.... |

What do you think has been behiund the sudden change in results? Although results have changed. I don't really think performances have - Hartepool in the League Cup aside. Scunny played well first half against Leeds before dropping too deep and I'm adamant they'd have got something at Walsall if they hadn't had to play with 10 men for 80 minutes. I think the main reason they've done so well of late is their attacking philosphy. They have some real quality going forward - much more then they had in the Championship in my view, so why not make the most of it. Was a bit frustrating to see them sit back again at Hereford last week, hopefully though Mr Adkins will have sorted that out in time for tomorrow. ATTACK, ATTACK, ATTACK!!! **SHAMELESS PLUG ALERT** BTW - Martyn Woolford reckons the club's surge up to the table is down to confidence and you can read an interview with him in tomorrow's Scunny Tel |

Hopefully, aginst Yeovil, we can get a good win with a clean sheet. |

Keeping Murphy is essential to the team's fortunes as no matter how much anyone rates Josh Lillis, he doesn't have the influence Murph does. It will be interesting to see if anything happens in January, when he can start talking to other clubs. It's rare that clubs pay money for keepers, so I don't anticpate any offers coming Scunny's way in January. But if they are in with a shout of going up, which it looks like they hopefully will be, they cannot afford to sell him at any price. Better to risk him walking away for nowt than selling any chance they had of getting back in the Championship. They'd make much more dollar from being in the division high next year. |

Do Scunny still need to strengthen though in midfield? It's probably their strongest area in my book. Will try and find out from the manager if this is still happening |
