Forte out, aging Striker in.

Been at a local ground today, and heard a certain bruised striker on his mobile saying "Nige, I'll give you a decision after the weekend".

Interesting!

Good evening ladies and gents. The rain is falling here at the Memorial Ground and I have some team news for you.

Krystian Pearce looks set to play at left-back to combat the height in the Rovers team but otherwise Nigel Adkins has gone with the same side that beat Walsall.

Iron: Murphy; Byrne, Mirfin, Iriekpen, Pearce; Sparrow, McCann, Togwell, Woolford; Hayes, Hooper. Subs: Thompson, Les, Hurst, Morris, May.

Rovers: Phillips; Green, Hinton, Elliot, Lescott; Disley, Lines, Campbell, Hughes; Kuffour, Lambert. Subs: Green, Duffy, Hunt, Parrinello, Reece.

The Pirates of...Bristol are on the pitch geeing up the Rovers faithful and the ground is quickly filling up?

How are we feeling then Iron fans? Confident? Worried?

The pitch certainly looks in good nick so should support the Iron's passing game.

Do you reckon Pearce will be okay at left-back?

Coventry's legendary goalkeeper Steve Ogrizivic is sitting in front of us at the moment.

Let's hope he is not scouting Joe Murphy for Coventry who, let's not forget, is out of contract next summer!

No reason why we cant get a good victory here. Ricky Lambert is banging away goals, but this is team that scored 4 goals and still lost.

It could be a high scoring game then! The Rovers players just did a little huddle and now the home side have kicked off.

Shaky start from the Iron just let Craig Disley through on the right but he pulled it well wide.

Is David_Freezer that female reporter in disguise?

3 mins - Byrne down the right and Hooper on the end of his cross but muscled out by the defence. That's better!

Hmm, i found that the female reporter tended to quickly post the goals when they happen, whalst Ross J gives you all the details after the goal has happened.

The spectators are not sure whether to watch the dramatic fireworks display behind the stand opposite us or the football.

Mirfin has made two good interceptions to deny Rickie Lambert getting through but nothing else much of note so far.

Let's be right about this, only a female would be interested in football players having a huddle, wouldn't they?

McCann just had a shot cleared off the line by Ryan Green. That was the closest we've come to a goal so far!

And then a bizarre clearnce off the line by Sam Togwell for the Iron after Hughes chipped Joe Murphy. Togwell was on the floor and it landed on his head and bounced clear!

The atmosphere is heating up here at the Memorial Stadium.

Gary Hooper just brought a long Mirfin free-kick down in the box but a good tackle cleared as far as Togwell who had a crack from 25-yards that zipped just wide of the right hand post.

A great tackle from Mirfin just denied Ko Kuffour when he was clean through on goal.

This is turning into a right battle!

Pearce was lucky not to get a yellow then.

He brought down winger Craig Disley from behind out wide but just a free-kick given.

Things are not going well for Pearce.

He is struggling defensively and just messed up a good move by the Iron trying to peform a step-over to beat two men.
