Join me at 7.30pm as I help guide you through what should be an exciting night, with Scunthorpe United looking to charge back up the table after the disappointment of Saturday.
Any thoughts on a starting line-up would be good to see, who would you have in the 11?who have been the stand-out players in recent weeks?and what do you think will be the end result here at Prenton Park?

Welcome, welcome, welcome!I have just broken free from other duties to say that Togwell is in for Morris, Woolford on the left with Sparrow on the right.
Iriekpen remains at centre half for the Iron as manager Nigel Adkins keeps faith in his colossal skipper.

Because of his previous connections with Tranmere, there is a picture of a retro looking Nigel Adkins in the programme...the barnet clearly needed some attention!

Togwell has the first effort of note from long range that is comfortably collected by the keeper.
The atmosphere is terrible in here, I can hear a pin drop...in Liverpool!
Mark Wilson, born in Scunthorpe, is playing for Rovers after a spell at Man Utd. He didn't make the grade at the Iron as a youngster but did at Man Utd...how does that work?

The most annoying drum is attempting to stir the home crowd but they are having none of it. Are we in a library?

First chance for Rovers as Ian Moore flicks the ball on for the rampaging Terry Gornell but he can only shoot woefully wide. Im not even sure it made it to the byline.

Tranmere flash another wide on 21 mins as Ryan Shotton, after being played in by Savage, drills low but wide of Murphy's far right post.

Sorry about that, bit of techincal trouble. But the Iron are suffering from troubles of their own as they just have not got going at all. Luckily for them neither have the hosts, making for a poor opening.

I swear if I see one more massive punt upfield, I might just throw my own boots on and give the two managers a nudge..."any chance of a game out there?"

Mark Wilson has just answered my question as to why he didn't make it at Scunthorpe by floating in a dreadful free-kick that goes out of play.

This game is not as fast as Kieron, not as goal-packed as Lloyd...it is just DIRE!(hope everyone got that joke?)

The ref is getting some stick as the ball goes from one to the other without going anywhere near goal. A succession of free-kicks is making for a strange game that hasn't got up and running yet. Everyone is industrious in their work rate but Hayes and Hooper have precious little to feed off up top.

And no sooner had i sad that but Tranmere score in the 40th minute as Eddie Sonko breaks clear to chip the on rushing Murphy. 1-0 to the hosts.

The top two may be drawing but the Iron are not doing their bit at the moment.

Joe Murphy has just talked himslef into a yellow card for dissent as the half-time whislte goes amidst boos from the away end. This has been a poor performance from the Iron and a lot more is needed to even make an impact on a desperately below-par game. The only difference between the two is that Rovers are the better of a bad bunch. Much better second half please would be the polite words being ushered in the dressing room right now by manager Nigel Adkins.
