But will it be as plain sailing for the Iron as everyone expects against the Blue Square North side? Follow the action here with David Freezer tomorrow. In the meantime, feel free to leave any pre-match thoughts or comments here in the build up to the Big Match Live. |

The Iron ontinue on the road to Wembley against Blue Square North side Alfreton Town today and all the national press have got their fingers crossed for an upset. The fog is lifting, slowly, here at Glanford Park and I have some team news for you. Izzy Iriekpen misses out with a swollen knee and Krystian Pearce comes in alongside David Mirfin in the centre of defence. Cliff Byrne has the captain's armband in Izzy's absence and Andy Crosby is one of the seven subs on the bench. Iron: Murphy; Byrne (C), Mirfin, Pearce, Williams; Sparrow, McCann, Togwell, Woolford; Hayes, Hooper. Subs: Lillis, Crosby, Thompson, Hurst, Wright, Morris, May. Alfreton: Evans; McFadzean, Butler, McIntosh, Brown; Muirhead, Curtis (C), Bowler, Hall, Law; Clayton. Subs: Marples, Fortune-West, Cusworth, Davidson, Ellender, Mayman, Sutcliffe. So it looks as though Alfreton will play five in midfield but we'll soon see! |

Izzy could probably do with a rest and Pearce usually has a winning effect on the side so might not be the worst decision? Surely it's about time they started letting Picton or Canavan on the bench instead of Crosby if they're ever going to develop into first-team players?! 10/1 is being offered for Woolford as first or last scorer, tempted to dip into my pocket for that. Hooper could do with a goal at Glanford Park too. Anybody worried about this then? The fog is actually starting to get worse so could play it's part?! |

The visitors are playing with five across midfield as we expected so Sparrow and Woolford are probably going to have to help out McCann and Togwell. |

Paul Hayes looks in trouble after a clash of heads and St Johns ambulance staff have been ushered on to the pitch with a stretcher by concerned Iron players. Perhaps he's been knocked unconcious or swallowed his tongue? |

That goal will relieve a lot of pressure for the Iron, will Alfreton react? Big goal for May and his first since March against Ipswich. |

Good effort. The fog is starting to get very thick here and we're struggling to see the far goalmouth towards which the Iron are shooting but I'll do my best to clear things up for you! |

Alfreton will need to make a change if they are going to threaten as they haven't even had an effort on goal yet. Hooper has barely touched the ball for the Iron but Woolford has driven them forward. I'm sure Nicky Law will have his side fired up for the second-half though! |
